About the International Center’s logo
Theme: Whirlpools of Coexistence, Opening the Future
The logo of the International Center at Tokushima University is inspired by the Naruto whirlpools, a symbol of the Tokushima region, and represents the dynamic spread of two-way exchange from Tokushima to the wider world.
The overlapping curves express the strength that emerges when diverse people come together, join hands, and collaborate with one another. The design of multiple concentric circles conveys the idea that when different cultures and values intersect and coexist, they give rise to new possibilities and open the path to the future.
Guided by the philosophy embodied in this logo, the International Center of Tokushima University is committed to promoting international exchange that connects Tokushima with the world, and to fostering an environment where people from diverse backgrounds can learn from one another and grow together.
