- Eligibility: Privately financed international students (except for foreign government sponsored students)
- Period: From April to March of the following year
- Monthly Allowance: 30,000 yen (45,000 yen for international doctoral students from partner universities)
- Application Deadline: End of April
- Students cannot apply for this scholarship if they:
Receive another scholarship with more than 45,000 yen per month, or their spouse receives another scholarship with more than 90,000 yen per month.
Fujii-Otsuka International Education and Research Exchange Fund
This scholarship fund is operated based on the donations from companies below.

Otsuka Pharmaceutical Factory, Inc.
- Eligibility: Privately financed international students (except for foreign government sponsored students)
- Period: From April to March of the following year
- Monthly Allowance: 30,000 yen (48,000 yen for International Doctoral Students)
- Application Deadline: End of April
- Students cannot apply for this scholarship if they:
Receive another scholarship with more than 48,000 yen per month, or their spouse receives another scholarship with more than 96,000 yen per month.
Tokushima University Yume Scholarship
- Eligibility
- Students of Tokushima University enrolling in a doctoral program (Those who earned more than 4420,000 in the previous year cannot receive this scholarship.)
- International Students cannot receive this scholarship, if they:
- Enrolled the doctoral program before 2008,
- Receive 100% tuition exemption,
- Receive a scholarship from Japanese government,
- Receive a scholarship from another government,
- Study at Tokushima University as an exchange student from a partner university,
- Study at Tokushima University as a student nominated by one of Tokushima University International Student Alumni Associations,
- Receive financial support from from the Japan Society for Promotion of Science, or
- Receive financial aids enough to cover their tuition from another organization.
- Selection of Recipients and Amount of Scholarship:
Recipients are selected in each semester.
Total number of recipients should not exceed 70% of the eligible applicants.
The scholarship covers about 50% of the tuition for a semester.

- Eligibility:
Privately funded international students enrolled in a Japanese university as a full-time student
- Monthly Allowance and Scholarship Period:
- Graduate Course: 120,000 yen (from April, for a maximum of two years)
- Undergraduate Course: 100,000 yen (from April, for a maximum of two years)
SGH Scholarship Foundation
- Eligibility:
Should be a privately funded international students from a south east Asian country
Should be studying at a Japanese university as a full-time student
- Monthly Allowance and Scholarship Period:
100,000 yen per month (from April, available for two years)
Miki Takeo International Fund
- Eligibility:
Privately funded international students studying at a university in Tokushima Prefecture
- Monthly Allowance and Scholarship Period:
25,000 yen per month (from April, available for one year)
- Eligibility:
Should be a 1st-year self-funded international student enrolled in a graduate course of a Japanese university, and
Should major in information technologies, information processings and fields related in information sciences, or
Should be a humanity or social-science student whose research topic covers “information technology” and its related fields.
- Monthly Allowance and Scholarship Period:
120,000yen per month (from April, available for two years)
- Eligibility: Regular Students who is major field of study is Medicine, Pharmacology, Nutrition, Physical Education or Business Administration (MBA).
- Allowance and Scholarship Period: 2,000,000 yen, 1,500,000yen or 1,000,000yen per a year (from April, available about one year)
- Eligibility:
Should be a privately funded international students from a east or south east Asian country
Should be a student enrolled in (or expected to enroll in) a graduate course
Should major in a field on natural science
Should be younger than 30 years old for a Master student (younger than 35 years old for a Doctoral student)
- Monthly Allowance and Scholarship Period:
150,000 yen per month (for one year)
