On Friday, October 31, 2025, the Culture Exchange Party was held at the Second Cafeteria (Clair) of Josanjima Campus. This annual event is organized by the International Office.
It aims to foster mutual understanding and deepen connections between international and Japanese students through cultural presentations by international students.
On the event, approximately 100 participants gathered, including international students, Japanese students, international researchers, and members of local international exchange organizations. Many international students wore traditional attire and introduced their home cultures through national anthems and songs.
As part of the Japanese cultural experience, participants enjoyed origami practice session and a kendama tournament, where they collaborated and connected beyond language barriers. The event concluded with a lively performance of Awa Odori by members of the “Rasen-ren” dance group from the Faculty of Bioresource Sciences. Attendees joined in the dance, creating a joyful and unified atmosphere.
This event provided a valuable opportunity for international students, Japanese students, and local community members to come together and deepen intercultural understanding through shared cultural experiences.
