Celebrating the Graduation of International Students

2025-03-18

On March 10, 2025, a Celebration Party of the Graduation for International Students was held at Awa Kanko Hotel. This annual event, held every March, celebrates the achievements of international students graduating from Tokushima University while also expressing gratitude to the companies and organizations that have continuously supported them. Additionally, the event serves as an opportunity for networking and cultural exchange. As part of the celebration, the Tokushima University International Exchange and Collaboration Contribution Award was also presented to individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to international efforts at the university.
During the event, Tokushima University President Dr. Kawamura delivered a congratulatory and encouraging speech to the newly graduates. Graduates then received a commemorative gift, followed by a group photo session with the president, vice presidents, and all attending graduates. A student representative also delivered a message of appreciation to faculty advisors, local communities, international exchange organizations, and corporate sponsors who have provided invaluable support throughout their academic journey.
This year’s International Exchange and Collaboration Contribution Award was presented to two international exchange organizations that have long supported international students to experience Japanese culture and connect with the local community. President Kawamura presented them with certificates of appreciation.
After graduation, some students will continue their studies at Tokushima University, while others will pursue careers in Japan or return to their home countries for employment. Regardless of their path, Tokushima University will continue to support their success. The university hopes that its international graduates will serve as bridges between Japan and their home countries while playing a key role in furthering international exchange efforts.
