- Student Card (IC Card)
- Student card is to certify your status as a student of UT. Please do not
allow your Student Card not to be misused by anybody.
You need to show your Student Card, for example, when you:
- Take final examination
- Enter the library and borrow books there
- Apply for Periodical Health Check-up
- Apply for Certificates
NOTES:
- Do not lend or present your Student Card to somebody else
- When you apply for a Student Discount Coupon, please show your Student
Card on request of an officer.
- If you lose or damage your Student Card, please visit the Section of Academic
Affairs of your department/faculty and apply for Student Card Reissuance
there.
- If you change your family name, please submit Notification of the Change
of Name at the Section of Academic Affairs of your department/faculty.
- When you graduate (or leave school), be sure to return your Student Card
to the Section of Academic Affairs of your department/faculty.
- If you need to extend the period of driver's license, please apply for
the extension at the following office counters:

- Tuition Payment
- Deadlines of tuition payment are:
・ For the Semester 1 … End of April
・ For the Semester 2 … End of November
* If you do not pay tuition by the deadline dates above without any reasonable
excuses, you may be expelled from the school.

How to Pay Tuition
- You may pay tuition by bank account transfer.
- When you pay tuition by bank account transfer, please transfer your tuition
from the account entitled with your name of the name of your guarantor.
- Application form for the tuition transfer is attached with the notification of acceptance. In case you lost the application form, please ask for the form at the Accounting Center on Jousanjima/Kuramoto Campus.

- To Get a Student Discount Coupon for Public Transportation
For public transportation, such as JR train and bus services, you may get
discount by using a student discount coupon.
How to Get a Discount Coupon
- You can get a discount coupon with an automatic coupon issuing machine.
* The issuing machine is at following places::
・ Jousanjima Campus … Section of General Education (Building 4, 1F) 【MAP】
Entrance of K Building 【MAP】
・ Kuramoto Campus … Laboratory Building for Basic Medicine (1F) 【MAP】
* You need your student card to issue a discount coupon.
- A discount coupon is only for your use. Please do not give or lend it to
others.
- You need to show your student card when you buy a ticket using a student discount coupon. Please be sure to carry your student card with you.
- Any misuse of a discount coupon is prohibited.
- You can use at most 10 coupons every year.
- How to Get Certificates
(Certificate of Enrollment, Academic Transcript, and Certificate of Expected Graduation)
You can issue these certificates using the issuing machine above. You need
your student card to issue a certificate.
- Inquiry for Leave of Absence
If you need to leave school for more than two months due to sickness or
some other private reasons, you can apply for the Inquiry for Leave of
School at the Section of Academic Affairs of your department/faculty.
If you wish to extend the period of your leave of absence, please submit the extension inquiry at the same office before the original period ends.
* If you apply for the Leave of Absence due to sickness, please submit
a medical certificate signed by your doctor.
- Re-enrollment Inquiry
You need to submit Re-enrollment Inquiry to your department/faculty (Section of Academic Affairs) when you resume your study while you are taking a leave of absence.
* In case you took a leave of absence due to sickness, please submit a
medical certificate signed by your doctor.
- Notification of the Change of your Address, Guarantor or Name
When you made any changes in your current address, guarantor or name, please
be sure to contact following offices and let them know about the changes:
- Section of Academic Affairs of your department/faculty
- Division of International Affairs (Support Office for International Student
on Kuramoto Campus)
* In case you make changes in your current address and name, please do
not forget to make changes on your Alien
Registration Card at City Hall of Town Hall you reside. Please click
here about the paperwork for this.
* After you completed the changes on your Alien Registration Card, contact
the Division of International Affairs and let
them know about your new address and name.

・How should I do when I lost my student card?
Please contact following counters immediately and ask them to issue a new
student card for you:

・How can I receive information about classroom change and class cancellation?
Information about classroom change and class cancellation is posted on the message board. Please be sure to check it everyday.

・Do I have to submit Notification of Absence?
Even if you have to miss a class due to sickness or bereavement/mourning, we have no system to accept your notification of absence. Please directly consult with your instructor.
In case you cannot take the final exam for unavoidable reasons, such as
sickness or bereavement/mourning, you can apply for Inquiry for Make-up
Exam. For details, please consult with Section of General Education (only
about General Education subjects) or the Section of Academic Affairs of
your department/faculty.

All UT students are required to enroll in the Personal Insurance for Students
Pursuing Education and Research, which covers medical expenditures for
the treatments for damages a student got during extra-curricular activity,
in-class activity or commuting to the school campus.

Yes. Please contact Section of Academic Affairs of your department/faculty
and let them know about the change of your current address and phone number.
Please also be sure to inform the Division of International Affairs (Support
Office for International Students on Kuramoto Campus) about your new address
and phone number.
・Where should I contact when my personal belongings were stolen?
Please contact the Section of Academic/Student Affairs of your department/faculty.
* Many cases of theft occur on campus. Please be careful for your personal
belongings.
* Please also remember to lock your bicycle and motorbike when you leave them on campus.
・How can I get part-time job information?
We put a file of up-to-date part-time job information on the 1F of Student Hall on Jousanjima Campus and on the 2F of Kuramoto Kaikan on Kuramoto Campus.
When you apply for a part-time job of a home tutor, please contact the
Section of Student Affairs and apply for the job there. For other part-time
jobs, please directly contact the employer.
・When weather alerts are issued ...
Classes are automatically cancelled when weather alerts (Hurricane Alert
and Heavy Rain Alert, or Hurricane Alert and Floor Alert) are issued in
the northern Tokushima area.
